Boat Trailer Keel Pads by Stoltz
Stoltz keel pads are replacement boat trailer keel pads made from polyurethane. A keel pad mounts directly to the trailer frame so your boat contacts polyurethane instead of steel. Every size is 12″ long and comes in 1.5″, 2″, 3″ and 3.5″ widths. The size is the inside width of the pad: a 2″ keel pad slides over a 2″ trailer frame. To find yours, measure the width of the frame the keel pad sits on.

The size in the name is the inside width of the pad, which matches the width of the trailer frame it fits over.

How to measure for a keel pad
Measure the width of the trailer frame (the cross member) the keel pad sits on. Order the keel pad with the same size: the inside of a Stoltz keel pad matches its size, so a 2″ keel pad slides over a 2″ frame. Every size is 12″ long, so width is the only measurement that decides which one you need.
Keel pad or keel roller?
A keel pad mounts directly to the trailer frame and doesn't move. It protects the frame, so the boat contacts polyurethane instead of the steel frame, and the smooth polyurethane surface lets the boat slide easier with less friction. A keel roller mounts in a bracket and spins when the bow or bottom of the boat makes contact, helping the boat roll forward onto the trailer.
The two use completely different mounts. If the part is screwed straight to the frame, you need a keel pad. If your trailer has a keel roller bracket, you need a keel roller.

A Stoltz keel pad slides over the trailer's cross member and is fastened directly to it with self-tapping screws. Screws are not included. Most customers reuse the screws from their old keel pad, since screw size varies from trailer to trailer.
